Sunday/Monday 9.45 am at the meeting area „Frosty´s Snow World” / Kids Center below the top station gondola – new daily admission to classes available (not beginners).
Do beginners need a ski pass?
If a beginner uses a lift (e.g. Lukaslift), a ski pass is required (not included in the ski school rates). For the gondola you always need a lift ticket. Children under the age of 6 pay only € 1.- for a lift ticket – more information on www.alpbacher-bergbahnen.at
Are half-day courses available?
Yes, half-day courses are available (for instance private lessons and Bambini courses). Half-day courses for children and adults are only available for the advanced level groups. We do, however, recommend that you select a whole day so as to avoid having to change your instructor.
Are there set meeting points for the ski courses?
Yes, for adults 5 days instruction - pay only for 3 days! of the 7.1. - 3.2.06 and 18.3. to the end of season
According to which criteria are the groups organised?
The groups are organised according to age and ability! Every person will find a course that is suitable to their ability!
If I am not happy with the course I am taking, may I swap to another (for example from a snowboard course to a ski course)?
Yes, changing to another course is possible. Please notify us of your decision in our office, the day before the new course starts. We will try to do our best to find the most suitable course for you.
Is there a money back guarantee if the course does not fulfil our expectations?
Principally, refunds are not available. It is, however, possible to swap courses at no extra charge. A refund (of the days not used) is only available upon presentation of a medical certificate. However, we do try our best to fulfil your expectations.
Is ski or snowboard rental available from the ski school?
The ski school does not rent out any equipment! The sports shops in Alpbach and Sport Ossi in Kramsach are our business partners!
May I join a course mid-week?
Our beginner lessons start always on Sunday and Monday - the following courses are reorganised every day: Private lessons, Bambini courses, Kindergarten, group courses for Children, Adults and Snowboard.
May I book a particular instructor for a group course?
Of course! We can not, however, promise that you will get your desired instructor. There is a high demand for many of our instructors and it is not always possible to fulfil every wish! However, you will definitely increase your chances by booking early.
When should a private instructor be booked?
Basically, as soon as possible! This is especially important if you want to book a particular ski instructor.
Are events organised by the ski school?
Yes, the Alpbach Aktiv ski school organises events during the whole winter season. Every Tuesday there is our kid´s après ski, every second Wednesday night we organize a ski show at the Böglerlift and every Thursday there is our kids race and the children party with the prize giving.
